Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Capital Projects

Is there such a group left, or have they all been moved into the Business Units?

I walked with my head held high last year, and feel for those let go.

All the best to Projects folks in finding work in the future.

Talking about Capital Projects Australia...What about all the American Expats working on APLNG... not much work left there for 2016... when are they going all back home ? I bet they will layoff Aussies instead...

I found out we have two COP Australia West Capital Projects Development Engineers now here in Houston (Aussie Expats), while all the remaining Capital Projects COP resources in Perth are American Expats, "managing" a handful of contractors that spend most of their time in coffee shops and bars with their expat boss milking COP... some way to save money, while our fellow Americans are being layoff here in Houston... Shame on you TW, DF and KK... who do you think you are fooling...It would be nice to see someone with "Balls" take action...KARMA will find you soon.

Projects start with Assets providing funding and schedule. When neither are realistic, it drives behaviors.

Even though COP Major Capital Projects were among the lowest performing groups and projects in relations to our peers, most of this old boys' network was forced into the assets. They have subsequently underperformed again, and proven the the Messier empire was a total waste of money!
