Thread regarding Best Buy layoffs

Things can be better

On a store level it all so depends on your GM and how well connected he or she is and how much they fight for the store. In my case, I went trough 5 GM's little over 3 years - now pause and think about it - 5 GMs...! On work-life-balance as some posters reported, 50+ hours required which always led to more due to business.

My current schedule includes all holidays, working 6 days per week and working 10 hours every day - I am in a major metro area, so I cannot live close to the store as I cannot afford it on what Best Buy pays me, my one way commute is 1.25 hours - where is work-life-balance there...

Also, if any manager is reading this - I worked for major companies - and our training at Best Buy is simply substandard - we need to invest more in people who are loyal and committed to the company... Finally, there are no layoffs right now, but we did have our share of layoffs and it always s---s - however, it's just business and companies have to cut when money made is not enough to cover payroll.

Good luck to all

Hey cry baby you chose to work that far from home... no one made you. You should quit and go on welfare since your intelligence level is obviously not high enough to understand you cannot blame others for a choice you made.
