Thread regarding ITT Educational Services Inc. layoffs

Wow...still carrying the banner for Kevin Modany!

Reading some of responses in the other threads (did I graduate, and others) that Kevin still has some "true believers" so obtuse, still thinking everything is OK...nothing wrong here...we'll continue on...continue to do what corporate tells us to do. I feel bad for them...no paycheck is worth being a "yes man" for Kevin Modany.

Sycophants were promoted so they are still loyal especially if the rode the Campus Director > DM > VP path.

"Actually the Auschwitz poster makes a fair point. Modany would never have been able to run ITT Tech into the ground...if it weren't for the complete capitulation of the staff at the campus level."

Yes, we know. Many of us have been reading and posting on this forum, from many points of view, for months and years. This has all been said before.

But still posting that rant, today, directed toward people who are simply trying to make transcripts available .... a quote from Sarah Silverman at Democratic Convention " You're being ridiculous."

Actually the Auschwitz poster makes a fair point. Modany would never have been able to run ITT Tech into the ground...if it weren't for the complete capitulation of the staff at the campus level. Never once did I hear a Director or a Dean effectively push back against a District Manager, or during those stupid morning phone calls. You were all too afraid of losing your paycheck.

Modany controlled the company by fear (delivered by his henchmen DRs)...and most everyone at the campus level (even today)...cowards.

"Those 1-2 people that show up to work per campus out to be ashamed. I would have told the Director or DM to go K C U F themselves!"

How do you know Director and/or DM are the employees showing up? The Director of my "former" campus sent letter on Tuesday saying good-bye to everyone on his usual campus email list, and provided a decidedly non-ITT-Tech number to contact him with if we so choose. Said nothing about how to pick up belongings etc -- clearly he was also "terminated." Many on here have posted about their campus directors and district managers getting the "mystery" bank deposit paying them thru yesterday. People who were paid out and terminated won't be in charge on Thursday and Friday!

So, who is? Just curious. But not curious enough to drive to my local campus. My belongings were packed up and brought home a couple weeks ago.

Any of those "left on" employees...if they have a lick of principle...should resign immediately. To do otherwise, you're just prostituting yourself to an evil enterprise.

"Yup...don't forget there were still folks guarding Auschwitz in the end too."

Okay, now this is troll post, trying to stir up S__T.

It works both ways, doesn't it? A few days ago we had the nutcase posting everywhere about her hubby who worked at ITT-Tech for 12 years -- and the gov't conspiracy against ITT-Tech, etc -- her posts all got pulled finally by the webmaster. And now these posts appearing about anyone on ITT-Tech payroll being like a Nazi. Yecchh, get a life.

What is your point? Do you get off on trashing other people for fun? Why bother posting a thread saying other people are this awful thing, or that awful thing. So many stereotypes you are pushing here! Everything black and white!

A new phase is happening here on this board. Former employees trying to help each other, former students trying to get info.

Seriously, rants like one starting off this thread are so YESTERDAY.

"I feel bad for them...no paycheck is worth being a "yes man" for Kevin Modany."

WTF? Remaining on payroll to process June quarter grades, confer degrees, post transcripts is bad?

Was it bad for faculty to stick around the final week of the quarter and give finals? Should they have walked out in the middle of the quarter?

What is your problem?

I agree. Anybody who continues to show up for work at ITT Tech is "in league" with that crazy narcissist Modany. By showing up for him, you're agreeing with him...or you must really really really need a paycheck.

You, like many others, may be missing the point of many of these postings. Just because someone posts that they think Modany will eventually provide transcripts doesn't mean they are company shills!

Modany is a crazy narcissist! This has been written about a lot. So he exhibits certain behaviors -- like the letters he has posted the past couple days, about his company actually being financially sound and ITT-Tech being a legitimate educational institute. He was so obsesses with blaming everyone else, and refusing to change his course or admit problems with keeping up with accreditation standards that he preferred to run the business into the ground than change.

So predicting future company actions rely on a few things -- will it cost much money? Modany is obsessed with spending as little money as possible on students. It costs very little to post June transcripts. Will the action make Modany look like he was operating a legitimate school? Yes, posting degree certificates makes ITT-Tech look like it was a legitimate school.

So be careful of applying stereotypes please!
