Thats the truth!!! The salesmen are losing ground fast. I cant believe Salesman West is gone. He accounted for 40% of all WKM sales. Thats a lot of money and SLB shut him down.

A Cameron EPV Salesman is a species headed for extinction. Distribution sales is the path forward. Feel sorry for the team...,,
Kinda hard to stay busy or work when SLB runs off our customers.
I don't have to, big blue was nice enough to "retire" me at the ripe age of 50. No worries here. Hang in there folks.
Is there anybody better than us out there? I don't think so and lets keep it that way!!!
We as Schlumberger are awesome and we should all feel that way because we work for Big Blue. What a privilege it is to be #1. So stop all the complaining and get back to work
They also have one of the biggest debt mountains. Brush up on your economics sonny boy.
Profit before everything. It's just the reality of the 'new' oilfield. It's not just SLB, you hear the same things from talking with guys that work for our competitors. You now happen to work for a very large company that is bureaucratic. Yeah, I remember when we used to have company meetings in strip clubs and those days were a lot of fun. Things change, and it is time to get with the new program/industry/standards or move along to a smaller company that might still operate that way. As much as people complain about SLB, they still managed to be the biggest and most profitable service company in the industry. SLB must be doing something right.
Yup, you sound like the typical Schlumberger azzhole that has drank way to much of the Kool aid. Thanks for showing everybody the wonderful spirit of big blue, great isn't it?
If Cameron's customers don't like the Schlumberger way then they know what they can do. We are a company that works for profit not charity. In Schlumberger everybody knows you either deliver IBT beyond expectations or you move on. We are not the worlds #1 for nothing and we should aim to stay that way.
Cameron needs to transform or die
SLB doesnt have a clue how Cameron works on the EPV Side. The Midstream/Process side of things does not adhere to drilling and fracking philosophies. Part of the success of the EPV side has been the select individual not the team as SLB so adamantly promotes. Wearing blue coveralls when our customers require FR tops and jeans is what we adhere too not SLB's policy. Plus SLB has turned customers away because they wont do business in accordance with SLB or vice versa so Paal needs to make some adjustments and exceptions or Cameron customers will continue to leave.
IN addition to Rowe there are still 4 Cameron guys in key leadership positions that don't have a clue how Schlumberger works and how to manage a business the Schlumberger way. This is a recipe for disaster and one wonders how long Paal will accept these guys dragging our results down (and his bonus).
We need to see a transformation strategy for Cameron to get them in line with the rest of the company. Paal needs to initiative the change by replacing R. Scott Rowe with an experienced SLB manager who will drive them to greater success and get their costs in line.
FYI-MI Swaco is building a lot of Cameron products in the Kentucky plant. A lot more is scheduled to go there.
In the end, Cameron employees will be blamed for everything. The very people who made Cameron successful will now be accused of being lazy, overpaid, inefficient, unsafe, and wasteful. Take it from a former Smith employee, it will only get worse from here. Take your talent and experience elsewhere, or go down with the ship.
Yes work is drying up and SLB is enforcing their policies and corporate culture on Cameron employees. Cameron EPV had a good customer base now it is losing out to competitors. Cameron cannot be competative if this current trend continues. They are tying the hands of field service guys and letting V&M employees go to MRC with bonuses and severence packages. In all my time i havent seen anything like this. They have fired all but a few of the sales guys how can you compete if you have no sales guys building on your customer base
Work is drying up everywhere....make sure that your CV is updated.
