Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

When will CVX go bankrupt

At $50 oil price it will take 2 years for filing bankruptcy in my opinion.

I would have reasoned that tax is enshrined in law therefore avoiding tax is breaking law, Otherwise, illegal.

@-fmmk - incorrect, it is illegal: http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2015/s4354971.htm...and, it is unethical and immoral.

Jesus Christ-never! Do you really believe chevron would/could go bankrupt. Asset sales alone could bring them into the 50th century, wake up people.

There's nothing illegal about utilizing tax strategies to save the company and you money. Unless of course you are just an anti-American, Anti-capitalist, Anti Oil & Gas troll leeching on this site. We have gotten a few of those bottom feeding rodents in here from time to time. Yet they use hydrocarbons and it's derivative products daily like everyone else. My the hypocrisy!!!

-2fkr, are you simply a troll or someone who used to work for Chevron and appropriately laid off? Either one, good riddance.

Chevron will survive and emerge a stronger company. I only hope the lessons learned through his hardship is taken to heart and mind and doesn't happen again by our own hand.

Chevron will become a smaller and leaner company after this prolonged downturn. I think it will be a good thing for the company and for investors wanting to buy a solid blue chip stock. Chevron will be around for a very long time. It will emerge as a stronger company overall.
