At $50 oil price it will take 2 years for filing bankruptcy in my opinion.

I would have reasoned that tax is enshrined in law therefore avoiding tax is breaking law, Otherwise, illegal.

Chevron will become a smaller and leaner company after this prolonged downturn. I think it will be a good thing for the company and for investors wanting to buy a solid blue chip stock. Chevron will be around for a very long time. It will emerge as a stronger company overall.
