Let me demystify a few common ones:

Safety First - This is a dangerous environment and we employ people who make mistakes, sometimes often. We need to shock them out of complacency to reduce errors.

Quality related material - The company's employees routinely cut corners and need to be reminded to be careful and take their time.

Do Things Right The First Time - Speaks for itself, lots of re-work happening.

Didn't need nearly as many of those posters years ago.

It's been the same in the Ponca City plant. Reduce injuries by making employees afraid to report one, reduce scrap by not scrapping what should be scrapped, reduce costs by not spending any money on machines. It's all been a big joke. It will only be worse when it's moved to Houston. Good luck to the few who have chosen to go.

Quality and safety? That's a good one. The Florence Ky facility doesn't care about either. People continue to get injured and then leave rather than report it to their supervisors due to the fact that they are scared they will become a target for termination. Then there is the quality issue. That's more of a joke than safety. If people only knew the games that management plays here in the bluegrass. So so sad.

That's because SLB has sacked so many experienced and skilled workers who had common sense, pride in their work and did not require to be treated like children and talked down to by managers and team leaders fresh out of college with a degree but nothing else.

No wonder this company is losing contracts due to poor technical response and an increase in downhole tool failures.

If an upturn ever comes this situation can only worsen and loss of market share will surely increase.
