ED and Media Look the Other Way as KKR Loots EDMC

What could possibly be left of EDMC? In 2014, they had $300M less in assets than they did in liabilities. It must have gotten worse since then. What do these schools look like? If we dress up on Halloween and come to the local Art Institutes as zombies, will it just look like another day on campus?

Yes, this all looks similar the the last days of the 3rd Reich. (some comparisons)

  1. Delusions of Grandeur involving what we once were or could have been.

  2. Leadership strangely quiescent and in rare moments of self reflection and clarity wondering why everything touched turns to.... (hunkered down)

  3. Self serving equivocations (all school are the same so why pick on us. It's not fair! And besides everyone else is just as bad, right?)

  4. Mass financial rapine (they deserved it, and I'd do it again in a minute. they were weak.)

  5. Misplaced blame. (it was everyone else ( leadership), not me. I was good. I loved them.)

  6. Rumors of salvation right around the corner and that things really aren't as bad as the enrollment numbers balance sheet show.

  7. Exhortations to the non-existent divisions (workers) in the field that it's only a matter of "the will."

  8. Constant bad news and loses in the field that are only minor distractions.

The writing is on the wall; or am I being delusional too? I don't think so.
