Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

House of Cards

The whole thing was a house of cards....I was asked in 2008/2009 to look as what would happen with a BPS/CAB merger. You had Castner funding Nienhueser and G-- to run for the City Council, massive land deals that had were written off, Executive's sleeping around, employees hired for jobs they weren't capable of doing, the COO sleeping around, archaic systems and on and on.

The unfortunate thing is there was and are still good employees there that are trapped. There options are to move, losing money on their houses, or pray that BPS hires them. God forbid the FTC doesn't approve the deal and Cabela's has to file for Chapter 11. All their eggs are in this one basket.

Good luck, all.

that's why there's over 20 churches in a town of 6000 people. a lot of sinners, a lot of forgiving to go around.

It's actually like this in many towns in the good ol' USA. Quite a bit of Peyton Place going ons at my store.

I heard that couples would drop house keys into a hat and draw. That is how they selected who they went home with.

All I heard about was there was a swinger group in Sidney. Didn't know if it was true or not though.

How many people really know about the sleeping around issues. I heard it was called the "key club". Nothing to do but drink and play.
