Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

We know now...

Well I guess Ragu was right there will be no scheduled layoffs because the executive team is hoping for attrition to occur. Considering the email that I came into this morning, UOP will not have a hard time slimming down. What a brilliant plan! Happy Holidays everyone I hope you can buy your family presents or pay your bills!

I used to work at UOPX and now work for a small private college. First, not seeing merit increases is not uncommon. it is for UOPX, so I see the outrage. Second, if you were around during the matrix days, you're overpaid anyway. I'm sure you'll be able to deal..

You must also be a student, whining about where your money is and how you can't support your family or buy gifts for the holidays. No Ownership!! Go find another job where your making more money then. I bet half of those complaining are those who only perform half a-- when your actually working, which makes everyone else half to pick up your slack. Not happy? Quit!!

They are not giving any raises this year. The raises are never really big "raises" anyway. They are more cost of living increases. But they aren't giving any this year.
