Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

More VPs, that's the answer

Great. More expensive overhead for "media". Let's not focus on product.

I guarantee neither of these VPs will carry their weight, and will exit in the future with amazing parachutes:

Mattel Creations, the centralized theatrical, television and digital content division from Mattel Inc., today announced the appointments of two key executives: Cheryl Gresham has been named Vice President, Global Media & Marketing Integration, and Justin Richardson has been named Vice President, Global Content Distribution & Strategy.

Hey, Design hacks - Mattel Creations is the merging of 3 separate content groups (American Girl's group, Playground and HiT Entertainment). For all you drawing monkeys who can't read, won't do research and can't do math, the HiT Entertainment group actually makes about double digit millions in CASH on the distribution they do, Playground does a little more with just Barbie, and American Girl (a much smaller group) make single digit millions. Does everything they do work? No - but neither do all of your crap designs. The consolidation, which is long overdue, is with the right guy and it will take time to gain momentum - but they just announced that they have Universal (the hottest studio in the industry right now) - as the exclusive SVOD distributor for Barbie. This is a big deal which means cash profit.

Next time you open your browser to enter this site, don't. You're opinions are not just irrelevant but worse - they're stupid.

Yup, ThingMaker Failure the Movie then the so called writer who looks just like Squidward will write a sequel, The Return of Thingmaker the Movie. That's one of AKA who just got promoted, can you believe that?, but he is a butt plug of the lowest grade so he's perfect. He also loved throwing others under the bus as well, what a tool.

Creations hemorrhages cash, and the geniuses at the top now add to the outflow?

Too many of our execs have delusions of grandeur, that somehow they will be major Studio execs someday.

Our main business is Toys. The company's shortcomings there have to be fixed before we start thinking we can be something else.

Next up: Thingmaker Failure, The Movie?

Typical MattHell, more do nothing but travel VP's. MattHell Creations has created what, Max Steel, Hot Wheels the Movie? That entire group should be liquidated but instead they promoted the so called writers/producers? WTF have they produced?

I guarantee you Hasbro & Disney are laughing all the way to the bank & can't wait for MattHell's Q3 spin/propaganda. Hurricane Matthew headwinds..............I love it.

Why bother? Sell to Disney let them liquidate the employees and add the mattel properties to their portfolio of theme parks and animated movies. Maybe for once they'll be handled correctly and be profitable beyond the song and dance the yahoos at the top try to spin.
