Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

I don't get why ITC keeps adding all the new technologies when oil is around $50. This is not an f...ing IT company. And guess who will have to pay for it? All the BUs that are struggling to make a dime. There are so much more fat to trim in ITC. Outsource more to other low cost areas.

I'm out of Chevron after 26 years and more happy now than ever. I'm grateful for my years and experience with the company, but in the last 10 years it lost its luster to me. I count my blessings for the downturn that led to my exit, since without it, I'd still be there toiling and unhappy. I got out with a huge severance and subsidized medical and unemployment for me to shift gears and land on my feet. I'm employed in another industry with the same level of pay and most of the benefits. I'm so much happier now. Good luck to the rest of you at Chevron.

Chevron is a joke, put simply. All the talk, but with a pile of excrement under the hood. And people on here will mouth of defending them without a frickin clue as to what has gone on in there own groups or others.

Does Chevron still have a "Social Media Team Lead" and "Behavior Modification Specialists"? I'm sure those positions bring a lot to the table.

DA for KRI?? What a freaking joke. Yes, get the f out now. They need someone to create tornado diagrams and DQ Spiders to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that we can't make money in a terrorist epicenter. I wouldn't be surprised if Kitimat jobs are being posted or Gorgon 2, Bigfoot 2, ALNG 2, and on and on. They usually follow up a $hit project with a sequel. No, it ain't just departments that don't get it. It's most of the company starting with the top.
