To the person who stated that SYW and associate discounts are some how related and that I was somehow ruining it. Not true. I often don't take associate discounts on some of my purchases because I know it will negate points barcode. I pay full price if the deal nets me more points to use towards the next purchase. I split purchases. Even if I didn't work for Sears they still have to honor the SYW part because you do not have to be an employee to be a member. Hello?
All I was trying to iterate was WHEN to use your discount and to purchase in separate transactions. I never said I was smart but I do pay attention to details. I probably could be robbing Sears even more efficiently with SYW and I am still working out the details but I think I have it pretty close to nailed down. That post was not about me so much as you folks. God knows they aren't giving out raises so you have to take what you can get.
In other words, my was post not for selling a product or concept but rather taking advantage of what you have available to you to use to your advantage. I bend the rules for Sear Associates in Auto. No one likes car repair bills. I am not a cashier. I write workorders and I control pricing. I never step outside the bounds of what corporate policy is though and never have. Sears Auto is a different world than full-line in my store. We take care of full-line employees and have a good relationship with them.
