This is definitely not true. Research the WARN Act- employees have to give 60 day notice of layoffs.
The original post is trying to cause trouble. According to the WARAN ACT:
General Provisions
WARN offers protection to workers, their families and communities by requiring employers to provide notice 60 days in advance of covered plant closings and covered mass layoffs. This notice must be provided to either affected workers or their representatives (e.g., a labor union); to the State dislocated worker unit; and to the appropriate unit of local government.
Employees should become familiar with this federal requirement.

To the sensitive guy who thinks this is BS and that the deal won't close this quickly: This is how it exactly works. BPS doesn't need Sidney HQ, its staff and payroll, nor duplicate or poor preforming stores, and sure as hell doesn't need the dead wood Outfitters or execs like YOU who BPS wants to evaluate before even thinking of letting them work for BPS. You're out of a job and YOU brought it on yourself because YOU ran the company into the ground. WalMart is hiring, I'm sure the West Virginia hillbilly of Cabela's can get YOU and his pathetic team jobs as greeters.
