Thread regarding Anadarko Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Problem = Opportunity

Like most people on this site I despise my manager. What can I do to undermine her so she gets it in the next round?

That might be the dumbest thing posted on this site.

Why don't you change group? In this reorg teams are redefined, not to mention traveling to exotic places out west and away from it all!

Kidding aside it could be a good growth opportunity if you can dust off your cowgirl hat and boots.

Not a bad idea also to review core values, do what's right and trust that there are natural limits for how long a cork can float in these rough waters.

My manager made a false claim to the hotline to get one of his subordinates laid off last round. May want to try that.

I would consult your Lohminger Kornferry key competencies from the corporate bestseller "FYI-For Your Improvement"...many people are saying this is a great and useful book! I'd start mapping your key competencies and talk about them incessantly in the dozens of meetings you have weekly. The bosses will eat that right up and promote you over her and she will be severed. Oh...wait...I forgot, managers are immune from layoffs! Maybe try plan B, flush a dildo in the women's bathroom and blame her?

Very good. In the spirit of true brainstorming we won't throw that response immediately in the garbage. Anyone else?

Nothing.

If you can't take the good path, seek accomplishments elsewhere.
