Form DEFA24A Schedule A should be read by everyone on Cabela's Investor Relations site under SEC Filings

I'm sorry, but reading the SEC filing, doesn't it plainly state the headquarters of both "combined" companies is to be in Springfield ...? How can that be misinterpreted ?? I'm sure they will keep some offices here, maybe the one downtown - and keep 200ish people, plus retail employees, I don't see how anyone can expect much more. Severance packages will ease the blow.... to whomever are left in January-
They have lied during this entire process. Do not be s---ed n again
Just from experience I would protect myself. I talked to a national recruiter today. He said Cabelas merchants that have only worked for them ARE NOT in demand. He shared that if any of them get an offer they should take it quickly. Those that are most desirable are the ones that are well rounded in other retail environments. It will hurt if they own a home there as most retail companies will know they have someone that needs to get out. About the most they should expect is a new employer to pay cost of moving household goods.
Someone can respect your roots, but from a business perspective they don't have to keep the company there...

I like bullet point two, second sentence. Technically 1 employee is "a number".
What are the integration plans? What can Cabela’s employees expect in the interim?
• As it is very early in the process, there are still many decisions to be made.
• Both Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops will appoint integration planning leaders to ensure a smooth integration. We expect a number of Cabela’s employees will be involved in the integration efforts.
• We are committed to keeping you updated as information is available.
Yes, please read it. Its a lot of fluff and keep you thinking everything is going to be OK. With an extra helping of: As it is very early in the process, there are still many decisions to be made,
Which means, get out when you can.
Where will the combined company be headquartered and who will lead it?
• Johnny Morris, the majority owner and Chief Executive Officer of Bass Pro Shops, will continue to serve as CEO of the combined company and the company will be headquartered in Springfield, Missouri. The management team for the combined company is expected to draw upon the experienced group of leaders from both companies.
• Bass Pro Shops respects our deep roots – both in Nebraska and in all of the communities where we operate – as well as our unique culture that can be felt in Cabela’s stores across North America.
• Of course, it is early in this process and compensation and benefit matters will be determined and communicated to you near or after closing of the merger.
