Anyone have thoughts on what's next? Such a shame. Richard Cabela rolling in the grave I'm sure. Will they really close stores? Turnover has been at all time high leading up to this announcement which everyone new was coming. I see they want to keep the Cabelas brand but loyal customers may be turned off. I know of many employees ready to leave....

None of the insiders have sold stock since 8/20. You can see all the trades in the link below, it's public knowledge.

Maybe because the deal has been game, so it won't go through. Which would be insider trading at its best
Proof? Why would he dump $8M of stock at a lower price (~$63.00) than he would get when the deal goes through ($65.50)?
Looks pretty crapping Tommy just dumped 8 million in Cabela stock after proclaiming the merger was best thing to happen.
If we remember correctly Jim arranged his so it would go to charity. He was focused on what was important to him in his life.
under performing stores will probably be looked at and each department evaluated. Hopefully management that caused this will be let go
Jim is chairman of the board he had a hand in the deal.
LOL

Except all of it is going to charity upon his death. I don't think at all that Jim was thinking about lining his pockets. Have some respect and due some research before spouting off.
I wonder if Jim did not have some hand in the initial stages of this acquisition now. What is his payday on all of this? Somewhere in the near billion dollar range?
