Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Whats wrong with you people?

I cannot believe you guys get on here every day and find 50 new ways to ask the same question instead of telling sears to kiss it and actually going to work somewhere that matters. Same question over and over, let me make it clear one more last time to try to help you guys out.

Is my Sears store closing? YES!

Is my Kmart store closing? YES!

Are all Sears and Kmart stores closing? YES!

If I work at Sears/Kmart, will I be jobless soon? YES!

Is any of this going to change? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering there's only six or seven actual people posting on here, I'm not going to believe any of the far-fetched crap on here.

"As a side note, though, you might have an inside track if people from the new company come to inspect the property before you are finished."

Ya think?

"You might be able to go to their website or send an email since you will know about the jobs before they are posted or announced to the public."

That is why people are on the boards are asking questions!!!! If they just leave, they may not have an inside track or would know about the job before it is announced, now would they?

Instead the would be in line for unlimited food stamps like the OP.

Since you are so clear, maybe you can tell us:

When will SHLD declare bankruptcy?

I retire in 2 years will I be able to remain employed at Sears until my retirement?

When SHLD goes bankrupt will employees get their full pensions and unused vacation pay regardless of the state they live in?

What are the transitional clues that a store is closing in 6 months?

Will another company acquire Sears or will it cease to exist?

Will that employer hire existing Sears employees?

Foodstampsunlimited is the new go to guy for all the answers.

However I wouldn't put too much stock into what he has to say.

You are assuming you know everyone's situation. Some people are nearing retirement and have maybe 2-3 years left and want to know if they can milk it for that amount of time. Some are in college and need a job to help pay for tuition and will be leaving in a year and want to know if there store will be there for that amount of time Others are have chosen Sears for a career and are trying to decide if they should hang around, maybe Sears will be acquired by another company and they may be in the right spot at the right time to keep or advance their jobs with another company that takes over. Many different situations. But for someone who knows all the answers, why are you spending your day reading the same Q and As?

If Dave and Busters or any other company move into your building, you will need to reapply with that company. Employees don't come with the building. LOL. As a side note, though, you might have an inside track if people from the new company come to inspect the property before you are finished. You could ask them about it. You might be able to go to their website or send an email since you will know about the jobs before they are posted or announced to the public.

I can't believe someone who knows all the answers would waste their time reading the message board.
