Thread regarding W.W. Grainger Inc. layoffs

Management

Sales management to report to headquarters for a meeting mid November? NDAs being signed everywhere over pricing? It feels like all functions in the US are walking the green mile?

10 years ago the majority of customers bought from branches. Now, it's getting close to zero percent. Lots of overhead costs there. Now rumors of Amazon getting government business. Having a fancy website (Grainger) won't change that. Prices are DOUBLE what others charge. Stock buyback and cutting profit sharing will help EPS but won't help sales. Putting a noose around local reps doesn't help either. Grainger is in crisis/turnaround mode. Get resumes ready!
