The Quality Assurance folks for the Qualifying Center were all laid off on Thursday 9/29/16. The question is, what do you think will become of the Qualifying Center?

DOE to suspend funds to UOP effective November 1 and Apollo Education Group to close doors by end of 2016. Capelli to issue press release in next few days. I guess I'll take a dump and eat a donut and just wait for my box.

So adding the QC jobs to whom? ERs ? Who will be making the out bound new leads calls?
To the person who asked about the amount of QC folk let go...I spoke with a guy from the QC in the elevator today and he said about 12 people were let go from QA.
The new system will be called Genesys, there are 2 teams for the school of business, one in Northern Cal and one in Dallas, that are using the chat feature and they will soon add the QC's job to this program. They currently do Application Center support for ALL colleges. Your IT guys will be floating around soon to upgrade your memory so your computer can handle Genesys and all the other programs coming down the pike.
I have seen a lot of coworkers laid off. Others have left. Things are slow. Technology is not working. I do not care thinking has spread. CEO's memos whatever. Then it rained

How many were laid off in DQSS? I never knew how many there were of that crew...and were you offered a severance? Is the severance the standard 4 weeks or were you offered a package that represents your tenure like a week for each year? Do you know when the rest of QC/ACC will be affected?

The writing is on the wall....the ER'S will do QC/ACC's job ! You guys will be the next ones to get the boot/laid off ! The ER's will be the telemarketers moving forward ! It is to save money...they closed down my dept and it was a very specialized dept. All of the ER's do my job now instead of one dept. The univ will lose more reg's because the ER's won't know what to do. Period ! Univ of Phoenix is not buying leads anymore. I heard this from a co that use to provide U of PX leads !! Good luck..they are desparted to save money and they are closing depts and other depts will do their job.....place is going Bankruptucy direction !!

Yes the people that listen to the calls for the QC were laid off. DQSS . Only the ones that listen to QC calls. What is the future for the QC a whole?

Only the people who do the Quality assurance for the QC not any QC people

So I guess the ERs will be calling the inquirers . You think the students we transfer now are poorly prepared just remember we screen all the others out. The ERs get the best leads we have. Good luck

Yes, this is confirmed. It happened yesterday. Quality is laid off.
