Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

When is the financial aid expected to be revoked or suspended? With the lack of news from the HLC and DOE, this does not bode well as both

review dates have elapsed and there has not been a peep out of any outlet. It is clearly the calm before the storm. Everyone around me has been hearing these rumors for days now. Can anyone provide any news on why the deal was not approved by the DOE yesterday. What are they not telling us.

They are pushing faculty now to publish (or perish). Probably an attempt to appease the HLC.

Its pretty simple. It's called politics. The DOE isn't going to make a decision in light of the recent ITT closure. They will also not make a decision prior to the election given that one of the buyers has a relationship with Obama. Quit acting like uneducated idiots spreading false information.

Do not be to quick to see the bad. We are moving in a positive uplifting direction. We can weather this. We can .... oh. Oh the kool-aid is wearing off. We are screwed. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.

November the DOE will suspend funds to new students, not existing ones. UOP will likely close in December or January. Goodbye fake school.
