Oh, ya
Lying SOB's
Stover said there would be no more layoffs after the last round
He and his co-criminals are laughing all the way to the bank
Sad, some good folk will be let go to continue to feed the egos and bank accounts
More Bonuses for executives once they layoff folks in November.
Big Big Bonus coming for DS after the layoff
Train wreck
I use to defend this company on here. Now! I can't wait until the time I can leave. This place has going to shhhh in the last 4 years.
Email suggested the following:
As commodity prices continue to fluctuate.... our capital emhpasis over the next several years will be on high return U.S. onshore activity. Our exploration and geoscience will be focused on increasing our US onshore value.
I (dave stover) anticipate our exploration drilling activity will be minimal .... while we concentrate on a few areas that could yield at least one new core position in the future. Unfortunately, the streamlining of our exploration program will result in a reduciton in force.... This reduction will be primarily in the exploration organization and, on a more limited basis, in some functional groups that support exploration. I expect that individuals in affected positions will be notified by mid-November.
be safe..... lots of love.... we are great....
Dave Stover
what is this about??? what was the email about?
Won't be a rig in the gulf, for years.
Paste the email here - for the rest of us who got cut before
I would guess exploration does not include DJ, Texas BU, and GOM but who knows
Dump the stock. All of it and forever. No use giving management and the board more money.
plenty of "backfill" in Legal and in HR.
So what areas are considered "exploration drlling"?
I think it has been said that Noble is a pretender, a wannabe in this industry. This is more evidence. No company is more poorly run than this company. I think we need more GAP seminars!
Lack of preparedness for the inevitable fall in oil prices. Paying far too much for Rosetta. Signing horrible partner and vendor and government contracts. Failing to find oil. Failing to move Eastern Med Gas. Lacking foresight to avoid expensive mistakes in Falklands. Expensive, worthless, and time-wasting programs like XX and GAP. Despite these things, I predict that the CEO and three EVPs will hold on to Noble paychecks with their "prehensile bottoms." (apologies to George Orwell). A couple of SVPs who are near retirement age and who have no BP/ARCO experience may be forced to accept large retirement incentives in February.
No surprise. Old people. Hard workers who make more. They will keep the cruddy leaders and s--- ups.
I am on vacation... e-mail?
Three rounds of layoffs and tons of attrition with no backfilling. Killing it!
an exploration company with no exploration...
