Wow J8Dmefa-daj, that must have been a difficult situation to go through that. The problem at SLB is that people don't speak up because they are afraid to be retaliated by the company. Only strong people who follow their beliefs and want to make a change speak up. I am one of them. Many things are done wrong. Senior professionals should be prioritized when making layoff decisions or promotions rather than the new and inexperience. That is like a slap on the face. Only the voice of many can result in significant changes. A single soul cannot make a significant change in any situation. Speak up for your rights and beliefs.

Did you tell odd your defending his honor? got news for you, not in Texas was not hired in Texas was not fired in Texas, but Odd an PK work in Texas. Hey I guess you think the guy responsible for all the 1980's power points, and teaches the HSE Managers about integrity is ok staying in position with a record like his, it just shows who you are. Lets be honest......most people get offended whey they are told leadership is important and find out their boss is a dipF&^K. Since you are big on TEXAS law. I guess I don't need to tell you that respect and professionalism training (harassment) and HAZCOM are required for all employees by the department of labor and OSHA. So if Odd does not meet these requirements as a leader, he does not really have the right to work, or influence anyones employment status, you can actually google this. So we can go rounds with this or you can go sling you own mud Mr or Mrs right to work in Texas. You my friend are a true leader and defender of us all.........Good luck

If u worked for schulmberger or any other company it wasn't for nothing. U got paid and experience.

Texas is at will employment, but it doesn't mean u don't have employment rights. Equal Employement laws still apply. If u have a case get an attorney. Dont blow mud from ur butt on the Internet. Otherwise shut up.

Texas is a Right to work State. You have no Rights here. Get on with your job search.

Everyone knows that senior employees were being targeted. Out with the old and in with the new. Schlumberger fails to recognize the impact that this has on those that were cut loose with so much experience. Many of these folks will never be able to find jobs because of their age. Many of us dedicated our lives to this company ... for nothing. Let this be a lesson to the younger generation. This company has no loyalty to you. They will not protect you. You are nothing but a number. It is each man for himself. They use you . They look into your eyes and lie to you. They cover things up to protect themselves at the cost of others. Blue Print means nothing. The managers are unethical.

Nonsense ! and total rubbish i say, for there is no discrimination or bias of any kind here in america. hmm, notice how there is also a woman embroiled in the top of this? Hey! i wonder if she is an epi- pen customer as well. probably pissed at contributing to that companies executive compensation thru over priced product. damn, where will this all end. pretty soon there isnt gonna be enough people to support the bonus packages, pay taxes or buy product. think i'll be movin to montana soon, gonna become a dental floss tycoon, raisin' 'em up and waxin' 'em down.

His training is just showing he's a douche....that everything he says was a scam....there is much worse...the best thing we can do is let SLB know is we can peel back the onion more if needed. For now, we let him know he has no credit and give SLB to fix what needs to be fixed in private. The longer this is tolerated the more that come out I am sure. This week has been just to get his attention from what I have been told

Not sure why you guys are referring only to his training. I can assure there are worse things. but you are correct. If it isn't in quest it did not happen. Or did it?

if slb with held information from you that would have changed your decision to sign "false pretense" you have grounds. I can tell you from experience, labor laws are on the side of the employer, as mine told me most of what slb did during the lay offs are not illegal, just crappy. As you know we are not allowed to disclose our agreements, I can say after the fact and I found information that was not released to me, I had an attorney contact them, I ended up walking away much better off. I would be willing to bet that any class action attorney worth their weight could contact a person or two and get more than enough people together to make things interesting. I know more than a few people in the company willing to start leaking documents. What HR, PK and Odd do not realize is people are upset and talk, they cannot the talking and data sharing. For example, you should look up laws in Texas for recording people. I have a ton of recordings......You can take pics of you computer screens with cell phones, "to document fraud of course" to insure you are covered if a lawsuit calls on you (wink, wink). You can file reports with the department of labor, and the FTC, not that anything will happen, but is nice to know you have the whistle blower provisions to fall back on. I am not an attorney and would advise everyone do what is best for them. I would end with this. Odd had less than 20 quest entries and most managers have few to span their entire careers. If its not in QUEST it did not happen which means it their word against yours. QUEST is your voice, document, document, document, document. It could make the difference in the end. I will be the first to say I had a rough departure as I reported fraud and got "right sized" for doing so, I still love SLB after I am gone. It can be great again and will always press to make it better. Remember, it is a few bad seeds that have made this whole thing possible. We need to stand together to make this right and scream from the top of our lungs until the board or the FTC or someone listens. We need to call out people like Odd and Paal every day until justice is done.
