Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Cognizant layoffs to begin in about two months

Cognizant layoffs to begin in about two months in Purchase and White Plains. The Town Hall meeting was held in which Cognizant representatives announced that employees who had been Pepsi and that were rebadged as Cognizant have to train their lower cost replacements. Then, they have a number of weeks to find another job at some other Cognizant site which is already full of bargain basement H1B's and, if unsuccessful, will be considered to have been voluntarily terminated without severance or unemployment insurance.

It is true. Layoffs July 1st. I've been in meetings in Plano, Tx. IT jobs going to Mexico and India. TATA taking over. Also, if you are a contractor and not re-badge to TATA, will be let go. We are falsely training people that will be gone in 6 weeks. It is hard to keep your mouth shut.. I feel sorry for them. They think they are starting a career.

“Nominee for attorney general, Sessions, promises curbs on H-1B visas”

Watch 1/10/17 video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DD7ylm9sZ8Q

In past Sessions and Grassley work together to bring legislation on H-1B

“Replacement by cheaper, foreign, H-1B workers constitutes de facto nationality based discrimination against American workers," Grassley said

Grassley describe Sessions as “vocal champion for American workers”

Sessions has assured lawmakers of taking steps towards pushing legislative measures to curb misuse of H-1B and L1 work visas significantly used by Indian outsourcing firms

@ 3:55 Session say "I believe this has been an abuse. And I have been pleased to support your legislation and some others too, that others have produced that I believe could be helpful. It needs to be addressed”

BUT WAIT … looks like BIG outsourcing firms cheat again Now they subcontract to many small companys in a Corp to Corp and no directly hire on their payroll … NOW it is smaller company that has the H-1B numbers instead This makes it look like BIG one don’t have H-1B and is latest scheme. This too shall be known to all before long !

If you are IT person you need to give your voice to Sessions and write your letters here. Search throwawayemail and use that if not want to identify. Even if not IT person you should still be sending letter because not just IT but all knowledge jobs will leave - not IF but when :
