You're right, 2utp. One only needs to tick off one of the PGPA types in Chevron for them to fire off a request to the moderators of this site to block your IP. That's an interesting observation, 1ndc. All these things indicate to me that there is some kind of monitoring taking place. The mechanics behind how the counting of visits are measured may just be a weakness of their programming skills. Nonetheless, there can be a method to their madness. All I know is that I'm still being blocked from posting from my usual IP address. But, when I bounce my post off a proxy server like I'm doing now (located in Singapore), it goes through fine. These creeps may have blocked my IP, but I don't worry. They won't identify me by name, as my ISP will not provide them with my subscriber name or physical address. Only a court order will do that. Since I'm not posting anything affecting national security or threats to any person, all they can do is block my IP from reaching their server. Hence, I've taken up posting from proxy servers that change each time I logon.

I noted that when I revisit a post on my computer the "viewed" counter does not change, but when I revisit on my phone it does: the implication I think is that the phone hooks a new port on the cell phone network every time it connects whereas the computer is on a fixed url (that said, one needs to close and reopen the browser even on the phone to hook a new port: address allocation system my also change with provider?...who knows).

I don't think it's a mistake. The moderators of this site have been making tweaks for the last 18 months. This is the first time I've seen them (or maybe it's just one asswipe) do this... targeting certain posters who are identified by their IP address. I dare them to send me a 'cease and desist letter' to my home. Just let me identify who they really are and I'd turn right around and broadcast who these weasels are.

This site is for the so-called "butthurt losers and deadwood" as they say and you are correct, it caters to the liberal sponges. They want what you have earned for themselves without having to work for it. That's the definition of liberal. I have been quite critical about Chevron, though. Nothing untruthful in my opinion. This is a site for opinion and points of view, is it not? I guess my commentary has been too honest for the Spineless moderators too withstand. They seem to want to keep this site very shallow and only for immature people to vent.
