Do we have any HR folks on this site - if yes, can someone chime in and outline typical HR activities the day of layoff announcement

Day after: add "Layoff Specialist" to my resume. This skill is in high demand on LinkedIn. Very greatful to get the chance to practice this important skill.
Just kidding: the real title I added was "Resource Balance Analyst"
We do monitor various sites to make sure they are compliment and no sensitive and confidential information is inappropriately disclised.
Regarding LR activities, the day of LRs, (depending on geo), we do the following:
1) get in our conference room with WebEx
2) crank up the Ian Dury tune "Hit me with your rythm stick" song (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0WGVgfjnLqc)
3) flog each other like spider monkeys
4) deflect everything to legal
5) have lunch catered to building 10 (mostly vegetarian and some chicken dishes with dessert)
6) check FB, Instagram, Snapchat, Phooto, etc
7) grab some afternoon coffee/tea and Kambucha
8) practice some yoga to de-stress
9) eat the catered afternoon sweet cakes, which are catered- very unhealthy but delicious!!!
10) make dinner and wine tasting plans for group bonding
11) check-in with legal
12) close down and head out to dinner
It's kind of stressful. None of us like being in this position. But it can sometimes be rewarding helping people grow their careers.
