It's basically a doomed industry that made zero advances in 50 years. It's always the same cyclic game continously being involved in geopolitics that serves the few, destroying our environment and causing unsustainable economic bubbles. Alternatives are plentiful and would surge of receiving the same kind of funding. Heck, I prefer a wind bubble over this nonsense any day. Heck, pokemon-go done more for society than these vultures.
It's full of incompetent self-sustaining unqualified liars without any vision.
So drop them, leave them, do something with your life. Don't serve them and continue being part of something this rediculously stupid. No technologies ever will make them justifiable to continue their nonsense. I'm not a tree hugger but once I tasted the fruits of alternatives it was clear! More money, more development, faster advances, and most of all: being surrounded by dedicated and eager people coming to work a lot more happy.
