VILLE PLATTE is just as bad people quitting daily making more money as a cop. Planners are so messed up we can't get a order out the door. But sqiggy claims things are better since he is here.

Are you kidding? I LOVE it here!!! But then again, I don't really need job security, raises, benefits that get don't get worse every year or managers that have a clue, I also didn't plan to work past 55 anyway. So my advice is come to work for Schlumberger. It will make you appreciate the job you had at Walmart.

About 95% pretend they are happy because if they don't the will lose their jobs. Schlumberger never ask their employees these kind of things and so they don't know for sure. And even if they did ask them the fear culture is so strong that nobody is going to tell the truth. This a company in decline and how can people be happy about that.

"I am very happy working at SLB" There is a difference between working and goofing off, obviously slb is now full of people trying to milk the cow...

I am very happy working at SLB. Turn in late around 9am in the morning. Logging to my PC and send out a few random emails to different levels of management just so they know I am working hard. Then start to go through the stock market and do a few trades while sipping the coffee from Kurig machine. just watching my net asset getting fatter and fatter. It will be around lunch time after I have gone through my personal finance stuff. Already made lunch arrangement with clients, nice seafood meals paid by SLB. Come back to my office around 2ish. Send out some more random emails and make some calls till 4PM. Time to pick up my boys from school, wife is busy working in a law firm downtown.

Still getting good salary and bonus, quite a few more years till my stock options to vest. Can't complain anything. Life is good.

For everyone whining and crying here, stop it. Live your life. This is just a job to pay the bills, this is not your life.

Moral is at an all time low. We are not happy here in Rankin engineering . Many of us feel that management has lost focus and direction. We live quarter to quarter wondering when the next axe will drop. Rumors of closing this facility continues while many of us fear of losing our jobs to D&M engineers.

they call it 'works' because you have to do and take sh-- for other people, and you think you could be happy with that?

i think there is a guy in warehouse that is happy, he just rides around on his lifter all day "gettin" stuff, does his job, doesn't give a sh--, goes home. goes thru the motions, that's about it.

Lol. That's funny. All I know is that 95% of the folks at the Florence KY facility are EXTREMELY unhappy. It's amazing how bad this plant is managed. Hoping the new plant manager will make some improvements but since he's been here two weeks now and no one on the floor has even seen him I doubt anything will change. Sad to see how far this place has fallen.
