I recently just interviewed with a Shortline railroad, a friend of mine was fired in 2011 from UP, Since then he has been employed with this shortline railroad, per my interview I was told that the company I interviewed with was scheduled to grow 350% from obtaining Union Pacific Business that they no longer want, She simply said they no longer want to switch companies out but are doing there best to honor the contract and agreement. I also me 9 other former Union Pacific employees "none I knew" but whom also left the Bullying Union Pacific. The pay is 29.00 an hour 40-50 hours per week benefits could be better but still not sure what I will do. I live in Oklahoma and the hiring manager stated that employees in Texas and Louisanna will be greatly effected by this. My Fellow Brother be viligiant in your next step regardless to how smooth its running and the money we are making. Im not sure if I will accept this position but its getting thin for Union Pacific.
