The only really fair way to do things would have everyone go to half-days....sounds like a lot are already doing that, but still drawing full day pay
Do explain to current culture for those of us that we're let go in October. I am curious.
I guess the layoffs are a necessity considering current prices and activity; However:
It could be done right - Starting with excessive managerial positions OR
It could be done WRONG - by letting go the talented, hard working workforce and leaving the un-necessary positions that are highly paid.
COP has changed from a really awesome place to work to a place that is part Soviet work camp/part prison. However, the salaries are still awesome. I'm tempted to file for the EOI. The culture here is permanently broken and will worsen.
seemed earlier that I saw posts like put in your EOI now...like if enough volunteers came then that would save their job...that game is only good up to a point...
Thank you...I am smart, but it really doesn't take a genius to know that things are already well past the ugly stage at COP. Approaching round 5 of layoffs when extremely talented employees have already been let go and are still out of work. Flood the markets with 1000 more unemployed talented workers. Those who still have jobs are stressed and miserable. Back stabbing, butt kissing, and unethical behavior has been at peak levels for the last 24 months. No significant changes in leadership. Yes we are clearly beyond "things could get ugly."
It's ugly when you see good people with young families out on the streets...shouldn't happen but it will
need some encouragement?..try prayer and Bible reading...that's about all that's left
COP is so deeply in debt the have no peers in their size and category.
Well arent you smart
Get ugly? It is ugly. It has been ugly. It will get uglier.
