Is it true that not only is the Alaska BU not going through more layoffs but they are also getting raises, up to 2 each year? Along with Bon-bons in every break room and the occasional foot massage by the native Inuit people, necessary from all of the standing around and talking about the raises and how good life is up here? Asking for a friend.

Yea, but the raises are only $3 dollars per each raise. So that is only $6 a year. And yes, they do have to put up with the winter time in Alaska. Getting raises up there is really not enough to make up for the lack of sunlight.
