It will happen this month: Thomas will go to JC, and the rest will go to SL. NYC GM will be MZ. Then next year, when there's better sales, NYC will close and those teams will move to LA. JM will exit as well and FP core will report into JC, too.

Isn't it sad how there are those that welcome a layoff? There are enough toy companies in California, leave that frozen wasteland in NY an move to paradise. Get out of your comfort zone and try something different.

Not really news, the model shop has known big cuts are coming for some time. Trust their rumors. The ES tower suits will continue to chip away at the DC (oops, HTC) population to reduce costs. Who needs talent? Any moron can design toys and pick colors! "China can do it all," promised Goodman. (Between you & me, our SVP of engineering only lacks one thing: an engineering degree, but he makes up for it in hubris, arrogance, and skirt-chasing.)

there are a few over 40 employees left in NYC. I'm sure those will be the next to go. the brainiacs at the top think that infusing the place with young talent is the way to go. unfortunately these kids start off with their hands tied behind their backs and their spirits end up broken in no time.
