I'm not sure where to start. Apollo has been going in reverse ever since Jared Tausz was COO. What a disaster that was. They give him a golden parachute and tell him to pound sand somewhere where he could no longer do any harm. BUT, before he goes he terminates his best bud from Louisiana (can't remember his name, which should tell you something) and then Tim Colleran takes over enrollment, gets rid of the only VP's that could make a difference and institutes some of the worst processes in the history of this organization. And he manages to illegally stack rank the VP's in his favor keeping the VP's who will do whatever they are told and have no backbone. Well, unless you are smoking HOT and then he'll keep you as well. I AM NOT REFERRING TO KRIS JACKSON HERE. Who knows how that train wreck got into the position she's in. She is CLUELESS.
Let's recap where the other VP's landed since I get asked all the time.
-
Wade, well he spends his time fishing and looking for something and somewhere he can add value. He's probably one of the most genuine people I've ever met. He cared about people and is a true southern gentleman.
-
Kay is working at ASU under Nancy Cervasio and from what I hear loves her job. She was one of the only VP's who had the balls to bite back and say "this idea s---s". So much for empowering people to be leaders in the organization.
-
JD sold his house in Chandler for 1.5 million dollars, moved to Utah and is working as President/CEO/Founder of 1 of the very many businesses he's owned in the past 20 years. Great idea to get rid of a guy who's a self-made multi millionaire and didn't care about what he made, but rather the people he impacted.
-
Josh Hatch married (again), went on a honeymoon to Tahiti and is currently looking for the right opportunity from what I hear. Good man with great potential and someone that many people outright misunderstand. Yeah, he's monotone and boring at times, but he's smart as hell and was trained by some of the greatest leaders that have come and gone. (Trish Elliot, John Durling, Bart Burket)
-
I have no idea where Mark is or what he is doing. Didn't know him well.
Bottom line, think about when things really started to hit the fan? Yeah. You got it. When the VP's left the organization and no longer could filter the bullsh@#$ coming from above. Remember, the only VP's who cared about people were removed allowing initiatives that aren't employee friendly to be implemented. How has that worked? You can bitch about leadership all you want, or your manager, your director or whatever. But remember where this is all coming from. The managers and directors are just pawns here. I'm one of them. We do what we're told and in the meantime look for something else that we can be proud of again. Just like you do day in and day out, we're all in search for something better. sh--, maybe I'll reach out to JD or Kay and see if they have openings. I miss those days of true leadership, open and honest conversations regarding mistakes they've made and things they're doing to make life better for us. Those days are gone...
