Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Company wide or just some stores? Power hour.

Power hour between 11-3, No tasking just helping customers. Annoying the sh-- out of customers by asking them what brought you in today?

Is this happening in all stores or is it just my store GM making us do this? Departments are looking like crap because we are losing four hours each day (per outfitter) and freight is piling up. More things to do and less time to do it...bullshit.

Good point. Looking at it that way, I agree.

The train is off the tracks - corporate is pulling any lever possible to make an impossible work - they are so out of touch - it is over - we will be sold and hopefully there will be a major housecleaning at the top - there absolutely has to be if this is going to remain a constant in the industry.

Correct, however, you can't sell product if it is sitting active in warehouse for days.

The company, in theory, exists to sell their products to people, not stock shelves or tidy up. The primary goal of any business venture is to provide the client, customer, consumer with some sort of goods or services. This is economics 101.

Company wide. Nothing the stores do is not without corporate mandate.
