Here's job description, Student Support Coordinator, Online Division, Math Tutor:
"The Student Support Coordinator, Online Division, works as a Math tutor, and maintains contact and fosters motivation of students from the time of matriculation through graduation by utilizing school and community resources to provide superior customer service. This position also assists with student retention strategies. The Student Support Coordinator, Math Tutor position is located in Carmel, Indiana. It is not a remort position."
Question -- what is a remort position?
"Immediately upon student enrollment, welcomes students and their families to the OnlineProgram to establish rapport and determine what services are needed."
Question -- what does math tutoring have to do with fostering motivation, retention, and establishing student rapport? Why doesn't the job description say anything about actually tutoring in math?
"Bachelors degree in Mathematics is required.
Teaching/tutoring experience is preferred.
1 to 2 years collegiate experience in student affairs, customer service, counseling/advising preferred.
Proven strong oral and written communication skills required.
Computer literacy is required."
Question -- What's the starting pay? $15/hr?
