The parties have gotten worse over the past 10 years. Keep the half day fridays and the winter break. Screw the parties and the lame asses that get excited over it. Its a waste of time.

Yes because the holiday party is the most important thing to worry about. If you get one you'll complain and if you don't it will validate your conspiracy theory. So take a pill, pretend you're not an a--hole for once and you'll probably be fine with or without one.

So glad I am one of them - could not stand the constant panic mode of wondering if my time was up or not.
They can afford the party. especially towards the end of the year since they're closing the NYC office and sending those jobs to China or Cali. They'll pull a rabbit (and god knows what else) out of their velvet mafia asses and show you all how wonderful they are. Just wait. this'll be their Han Solo redemption move. they'll all be heroes in your eyes. because ultimately we're all lemmings and whores constantly reaching for the ever elusive carrot at the end of the stick while they laugh at our efforts.
Exactly which holiday party is this referring to? The company Christmas one by the MEA that you have to buy tickets for, the one that ran out of places to sit one year?
Is it the party where Goodman forces all Engineering to go play at the under privileged school?
Is it the Day of Forced Play party at the Tower logo lawn?, or is it the Summer party/car show with the free grub where the The Toyz band used to play Brown Eyed Girl )~
The crap will certainly hit the fan if they ever stop the Halloween Happenings thang which has been going on forever.......

I'm calling BS on this post. They're not going to announce no holiday party in July. Even with the cutbacks upper management isn't THAT stupid to announce that now and completely tank morale.
