It may protect you if you get laid off. Or not get laid off after the fact.
Think about it. Cheers

Yeah - the ethics hotline and HR is a joke. My former manager (I quit before getting laid off because I just could not deal with him) is a sexist and has had MULTIPLE sexual harassment cases filed against him. Obviously he is still employed even though SLB has a "no tolerance" sexual harassment policy. Complete and utter BS.
I wouldn't waste my time to report anything. If you do it, and someone is investigated, you will be too. You will get wrote up. It won't be a verbal warning, but a written one. The ethics hotline is a joke.
PHD this is funny most people left are so stupid they look smart in the eyes of the folks that never leave the office
There's a senior research engineer (PhD) still employed by SLB who copied 2 pages of a research proposal verbatim from wikipedia with no attribution. An advisor associated with that same project misrepresented his position in order to gain knowledge of the review of that project; still employed. Conversely, a patent lawyer and scientist from SGR were fired a few months ago when they tried to steal a patent by having it assigned to a straw company in the US owned by a friend of the SGR lawyer. One might wonder about the intelligence of the those 2 individuals but they lasted longer than many more intelligent and ethical people.
yep.....I seen something and passed to HR which dismissed it. I think my layoff # got pulled quite faster after it. Just way Corp. world is. Everyone just needs to get over it and move on. Eventually SLB will drown in their own stupidity..
They will see you as a problem employee and axe you first.
It does nothing… SLB is unethical period…
