Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Destined to fail

So... you layoff the people that review documents and certify files. Student escalation goes up because everything takes more time. This leads to more work for the ones that are left and a far worse environment for everyone. Decreasing payroll, improving the bottom line for the moment.

You try to get help from management and they pass the buck. They smile because they don't have to be on this horrendous service crew covering for other advisors who have no clue and should have been laid off. Other than NPS and the occasional ESI call there is no oversight by most managers.

You get little to no training for the new system that they are trying to implement. This is the same system which will end up replacing many of the functions that you currently do. These systems don't work, which i guess is a good and bad thing and are constantly up and down. No worries of getting laid off for a while...

I definitely love my paycheck and many members of my team, but it's not worth it. Looking elsewhere...

This Place Has Become A Heaping Pile Of sh--. It makes it so hard for any level to do their jobs. I am losing student left and right. We can't get them into class and workshops because everything is down. Can't see their financial aid or if we can it doesn't share everything. This place is becoming a nightmare. Ready to quit and get paid less than to work for this company. All of this on top of them treating us like craps. Thank you management.

Vocado has too many glitches to be fully tolled out by 9/1. Every time they fix something they break something else. The vocado programmers have no clue how financial aid actually works or how ops runs day to day. When they finally brought them in to talk to fao's they were completely blown away by how screwed up it really is and how little they undetstood. Way to go leadership another swing and a whiff

This school is known for its endless mistakes. Vocado being one of many. Financial services isn't what it used to be. There was a time when we were advisors. We had meaningful conversations and our perspectives and insights mattered. Now we're just monkeys on a chain. We read our scripts, stay silent, and have no control over our work or our success within the company. They have crippled us with systems that don't work and a culture that is oppressive. Anyone that thinks they have a future career with this company is deluded. If the new owners want to fix this school, they need to remove everyone from director level to Bronson.

So true and Vocado that you referenced is coming and all students will be in it by 9/1. Main purpose is to purge staff by this bad system is not an end game solution for sure. Trouble is coming.
