After the glory years, QCOM has a history of milking their current technology, and spending too little too late for R&D in other areas. In a field that changes as rapidly as technology/telecommunications, that comes perilously close to gross mismanagement. IMHO.
Q's 3 G licensing has left so much bitterness that Q must be very exceptional and convincing in a technology to be successful there.
