TCO is replacing contractors with CVX personnel. That's worked out well in the past. I guess CVX has to hide the chosen ones somewhere. What does XOM do differently than CVX, a lot of things like make people accountable for their productivity and extensive utilization of contractors. It is much easier to scale your operation by letting go and hiring contractors. Contractors are usually cheaper as well as they do not to get to suck on the corporate tit as employees do.
