Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Re-opening the closed down camps.

I am hearing that the closed down camps will be opening back up after the first of the year.

Roll the equipment. Long distances. Big money and a nice profit ratio for mileage

Even if the closed camps were to be re-opened, NO ONE who had worked there previously will be considered for re-hire.

However, Halliburton's business plan is to concentrate their PSLs in the "super-service centers", in any event, even if it means sending crews 400-500 miles to catch a job. (Case in point, cement job for Pioneer Natural Resources on one of their wells near Karval, CO, being completely handled (design, bulk materials, cementing crew, engineering) out of Rock Springs, WY.)

The customer will understand, since they are "paying for excellence".

Slim to none. And slim left town. The market will have to stabilize oil and natural gas prices. Perhaps in the future. But not after the first of w year
