After OII purchased AGR in Norway I doubt that they will invest in another major company in Norway.......AGR was a 'donkey buy'.

Uncertain about the other purchases but OII got hoodwinked on the survey company.

Could possibly be the other way around. Oceaneering has bought 3 other companies within the past couple of years. Two within the past year. One a few months ago.

Aker does not have the cash or revolving credit to purchase Oceaneering. Oceaneering would cost ~6 billion USD to purchase.
Make a list of who has $6 billion in cash in the O&G sector and start the speculation there...

Aker has never had a problem in letting people go. My bet was on GE buying them......guess we will have to wait and see
would look more attractive with a reduced headcount though, sticking point there.
Oceaneering is still making money..just a lot less of it.
