Can anyone explain what ONION is?

Onion is a term used for corporate rebranding. The purpose is to create layers within the organization. Each layer is assigned a new revenue/expense stream which eases the reporting for profit and losses in each quarter all while complicating the personal responsibility for each layer. This then over estimates the worth of some by reducing the impact of poor business decisions and under recognizes the work that is performed at the 'lower' levels. Got it?
Come now Brian, you don't have time to waste from your busy day in such frivolities as this site, you have a multi-million dollar compensation to earn.
Or instead of that the employees could concentrate on their project work that THE CLIENT PAYS US FOR?
ONEION is a clear signal to employees with any get-up-and-go to do just that!
