Any idea how COP takes into account pregnancy in layoffs? From what I've read as long as they can prove a layoff wasn't discriminatory and based on pregnancy they're in the clear. Any employees know or have experience with this?

What a rude bunch of replies to such a simple question. She's not asking to be shielded, it was an inquiry. Most of you likely don't even work at COP, if you do let's hope it's not for much longer. Shame on you. Good luck ma'am.
Wow glad to see the SPIRIT values are as deeply engrained in all employees even when it's anonymous. Good luck to you ma'am, I wish you could count on anything to make you less likely to be let go, but alas I'd say pregnancy, race, religion or anything along the lines is out the window, if you're number is up, it's up. Gopd luck everyone
Everything in the modern business world is based on risk management. Your pregnancy is a risk to the financial stability of the company. That risk could be very very high therefore HR has ways to deal with terminating you. You will most likely lose your job because you are pregnant carrying a risky situation forward into this year and next year and perhaps all years after. The lawyers have all kinds of cute trucks lined up for pregnant people people with children with health problems people that they themselves have health problems to make it look like they were let go with cause even if there is really no cause.
I'm not trying to be harsh I want you to realistically understand you will be without a job when the ex begins to fly. Good luck and prepare yourself for several months of unemployment for no reason at all.
start a "go fund me" account, or better yet put your big girl panties on and deal with it.
Cop doesn't care what's shoved in your twat you're fired!
What about all the hillbilly men wandering around that just appear to be in their third trimester?
Wrap that rascal!!!
Pregnancy is not protection for poor performance or not needing you!
If you are located in Barglesville you are gone baby!
I resent the fact that the vajina vs peenus issue even came up. #donglivesmatter
You can be let go if your off on maternity leave. Everyone is on the block
Pregnant lady in L48 Land was let go in October 2015. She was nearly full-term in her pregnancy.
Experience from another comapny. As cold as it seems there is no wrongdoing, unless you can prove discrimination, which is very hard is this environment
Your fair game like the rest. Position no longer required then you are no longer required.
It is like anything else, FMLA does not protect you from being laid off. If they can show it was not due to your "condition" (I know it is sick but for HR purposes pregnancy is defined as a condition) you can be laid off. I believe insurance does carry over for 90 days.
