Let's start a thread where we can consolidate options (company names) as it relates to companies that might be hiring in the Bay Area and RTP. It may be difficult as skills vary, but let's give it a try.

Did Cisco give you a contact to help you all find new roles? Check out ChargePoint.com
We are looking for people. www.chargepoint.com
@yrq - Don't worry - Chuck will be working with his Corp Com flunkies, image consultants, Ruba and presentation coaches on just getting the correct position of the bitten lower lip and the long face for the next All Hands Cisco TV show.
both FB and GOOG are hiring big time, they desperately need networking skills - get ready for a 60+ hours workweek though
Chuck - The coward
Bloomberg in NY is hiring engineers and engineering managers (they are combing linkedin to reach people).
Riverbed in bay area is hiring
Cisco folks, listed carefully to the financial call today, specially Chuck remarks about the layoffs. There is not a hint of remorse or even on taking a difficult decision. It sounds business as usual. Destroy 5,500 families is for Chuck business as usual. This man is really wrong. He never gave a direct answer to any of the question during the call. He did not even have the courage to sign the quote on the press release. This guy is a coward. Not a leader.
best option is to spray your face with coppertone and call youself "Sabu"
Whatever you do, do not go for Intel or Qualcomm - both are hiring network engineers but also had massive 10K+ layoffs in last 12 months
