It doesn't matter if the number is 8k, 12k, or 14k. It's going to be a big number, and will impact a lot of families around the world. Losing your job is devastating regardless of where you live, so stop the back and forth cheap Indian vs lazy US bashing. Be thankful you get a severance that doen't force you to eat hotdogs.
I doubt the average Cisco Yank spends $5,000 a year on hotdogs. Booze definitely, but not hotdogs.
You do realize that all that anti-indian sentiment is based on the anti-american behavior being exhibited by the Indian managers here in the states. It's not a one way street
So much anti-indian stuff all over this site. From the tone it looks like its coming out of the States. Really really sad. With such a racist workforce who can blame Cisco for shedding loads of US jobs. Why would Cisco want to employ loads of over paid freeloaders when they can get better, harder working staff oberseas that earn the same a year as the average yank spends on hot dogs a year.
