Anyone who believes the current headcount that Halliburton posts is true and accurate are more ignorant than the employes still hanging on. The headcount is merely a number used to stoke wall street and beat earning predictions. Texas had 11 field camps - now 2. The rig count in the state for all drilling is lower than the Halliburton rig count at my previous yard (took two transfers prior to severance). When jobs come back to Houston, they will then start trickling down to the field. Until then - stop whining and keep taking the big red weinie.

There are more than two. Why would we need more jobs in Houston we can't get the ones that are left to do their own jobs?
Where are these two remaining field camps?
I would guess Odessa/Elmendorf, and Kilgore, with probably three or four others that are not full service.
