my store recently closed last week, and a few days ago i received a letter saying i was ineligible for unemployment. well when i called to ask about the guy on the other end said kmart didn't even pay into my unemployment. does anyone have any experience with this? he said i would need to contact corporate for copies of my paystubs, and all that stuff is on the associate logon website which doesn't work for me anymore, no matter what i do. anyone else having trouble? ugh. i can't find an email/phone number for corporate that would really help with this problem.

I don't know what state your in but in Ohio, you have to average $243 a week to receive unemployment. So, when our store closed, none of the part timers met that requirement. When I filled out the for
ms, though, all the Kmart information came right up.

Sometimes there is a 3 to 6 month delay in reporting employment data to the state. You should still be able to file a claim based on your paystubs.
