Working in manual Testing in Indian IT services companies ur career ends max 5 years career sabotage by placing freshers in manual Testing

I am with TCS for the last 4 years. I am just at the designation of SE and about to become an ITA(and after 3 years down the line I will be an AST).

People with designation of AST and above are being fired because there productivity is not according to the salary package they are having right now. For the last 4 years I have an strong feeling that companies like TCS has no work ethics and how they play with the life of an employee here is an example :

  1. My friend was enthusiastic about all the coding stuff.

  2. He has developed some good products in the college time as well but the ruler of the life in TCS is RMG doesn't give a damn to this thing and landed him in a Testing project.

  3. Again he tried hard but got a D band(the lowest rating because he was fresher). They asked him to do more.

  4. After 4 years he was a testing guy and working fine.

  5. after 6 years they released him from the project stating financial facts of the project.

  6. Now RMG again comes in a picture and bluntly told him that there is no project for manual testing.

So Its a strategy of this company to not utilise their resources according to there talent because it will make there employee a way better than there existing employees(important to note here RMG has good connection with Managers). Now that employee is of no use for the company and fired.

Somehow in this company all good trainings on test tools are given to people in chennai only and all licence for high end seetest (mobile test tool) LISA , QTP UFT etc are vested with chennai syndicate gang. somow the tameels they are unable to learn and use it properly and dont allow others to learn and use .

when ever testing person on bench get a call he is asked do you know automation and have exp on automation. the question sounds so awkward that it tell u on ur face your are useless.

Actually it is trick used to prevent exp tester released on project cost issues from getting new project as there is no other reason to reject. the pm asking for automation skill mostly has no requirement for automation and needs only manual tester at low cost . this is game plan of DD/DM and PDAC.....

(Funny thing being development managers looking after testing proejcts don't have any clue of how to plan and do automation)

Quit manual testing roles right now and insist on access to test tool... as long u keep doing manual u are are now allowed access to tool..

persons who worked in manual testing are being prevented from getting into project on cost grounds

not more than one sr person in 10 people team is the rule now.

If extra sr person shows up they ask what is difference between u and fresher. as clear message the experience gained as manual tester has no value in this company.

If u attended automation training u can understand that it truncated and trainner bunks half the sessions and completes it in hurried way so that no one picks up anything. access is not given to test tools also

dear PDAC / HR It is the latest news - why so worried that the career sabotage scam is exposed .

This is what is happening in the great Indian IT services companies.

if fresher is not getting project in first 3 months after training that means they are marked for testing only to be disposed off after few years.

The reason for these firms insisting on 3 yrs exp is to close the escape route so that fresher don't get into development roles in other companies.

Spread the word in your respective colleges and universities so that other peoples careers are not ruined
