No, history shows that POS managers at COP (which account for at least 70% of them) are very good at selling work of direct reports for promotions, but are quick to selectively remember who helped them (and only give credit to like-minded slime balls). You've got it backwards. A good boss knows how to make his or her employees look great by supporting them so they can do their jobs. They do well-- then boss looks great as well.

Here is the thing, I sleep like a baby at night and wake up refreshed. But I bet you often find yourself looking in the bathroom mirror at 1AM, crying like an infant child, telling yourself you're a wh--e, and smearing lip stick all over your face while desperately trying to get the taste of your boss off your tongue.
