Thread regarding ION Geophysical Corp. layoffs

Just sayin'.

Mr. R. Brian Hanson has been the Chief Executive Officer of ION Geophysical Corp. since January 1, 2012.

January 1, 2012 : IO Stock = $94.05

Today Aug. 5 : IO Stock = $5.45

94% decline since becoming CEO!

All for a miserable salary of $1.32M / year.

and shares only worth $700,000 today.

Seisrunner (facepalm) - both present and price quoted for 2012 were at the 15 times conversion rate........the decline in share price is actually that bad percentage wise.

ION's actual stock price was no where near $94 when Brian took over from Bob. If it was, I would have sold every share I owned at that time. The price you have listed reflects the 15 for 1 adjustment applied earlier this year.

True, I've been wondering that too. Seriously, I think the he's been shoveling some high quality sh-- to the board to keep them happy. Any other high quality CEO would have been toast years ago. Curiously, I think his employment has been tied to OceanGeo. The upside has been tauted as phenomenal, but actual returns are crap. I wonder how much longer he can pull his charade.
